Athletics

Roanoke College is a member of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Maroons are consistently near the top of the conference. We offer baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, golf, track and field, lacrosse, soccer, softball, tennis and volleyball.

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation strives to enhance campus life by offering a wide range of engaging programs and activities to encourage healthy lifestyles and maximize the participation and satisfaction of students and the Roanoke College community as a whole.

Campus Safety

Located in Bowman Hall, the Office of Campus Safety provides a broad range of services to you, including police and security services, fire and personal safety programs, and traffic control. During normal business hours an officer can be reached at 540-375-2310. For services or emergencies after normal business hours, Campus Safety can be reached at 375-2500, by the Red Emergency Phones, or by the Yellow phones located on the exterior of Residence Halls.

Colket Campus Center

The Colket Campus Center is the gathering place for the RC community as well as our off-campus guests. It's a place where the Campus Activities Board (CAB.), a group of student volunteers who, along with the Colket Center staff, can produce cultural, social, recreational, and educational programs that bring together the entire Roanoke community.

Dean of Students Office

The Dean of Students Office serves as the primary resource for students in the development of their co-curricular experience. The Office is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing various programs and services that foster interpersonal growth, development, and learning.

Multicultural Affairs

The Office of Multicultural Affairs exists to aid in the development of a more diverse and inclusive environment for all. The office is committed to providing support services and promoting cultural activities that will create an awareness and appreciation of cultural diversity.

Residence Life & Housing

Campus living is a significant part of the classic college experience. So, the majority of students at Roanoke College live in residence halls. Students can chose from single, double and triple dorm room types, in addition to suite or apartment style living.

Student Health & Counseling Services

Student Health & Counseling Services, located on the front quad near the Chaplain's Office, provides medical treatment for full-time students with common illnesses and minor injuries. Most services are provided at no cost; however there are fees for allergy injections, immunizations, laboratory tests, certain procedures, physicals and gynecological exams. Counseling Services provides for the mental health needs of students to live fuller and more successful lives within a college community. Counseling services are provided in a compassionate, competent, confidential manner by a professionally licensed staff and are free of charge.
