Working with a tutor can provide a lot of help, but good preparation on your part will enable you to maximize your tutorial.

What happens in a tutorial?

A tutor can explain course concepts and share study tips to help you develop your understanding in a class. Tutors can't assist with graded work, but they can "zoom out" to work with you on the concepts discussed within the assignment. Your tutor will adapt the conversation to address your questions, learning style, pace, etc. and will give you opportunities to apply the concepts that you work on together.

How do I prepare for a tutorial?

Establish 1-2 topics or concepts that you'd like to work on during the appointment. Please share these topics when you schedule your appointment, as your tutor will also want to prepare for your meeting. If you have a lot of topics to discuss, feel free to schedule several appointments in a given week or month.
