Starting Feb. 12th, first year students and senior students are invited to give the college their feedback on their experiences at Roanoke College. The National Survey of Student Engagement is used to compare student learning experiences at Roanoke to colleges across America. The survey results are used to plan academic and student affairs activities on our campus. Questions cover class experiences, a wide range of experiences outside the classroom, social experiences on campus, and various kinds of personal development. There are also special modules on advising experiences and experiences with writing.
For example, last year's survey said that 87% of first year students feel that Roanoke places substantial emphasis on academics. 86% of first year students said that faculty are available, helpful, and sympathetic. 96% of seniors reported discussing career plans with faculty, and 79% of seniors reported participating in community service or volunteer work.
Check your college e-mail for the invitation (and link) to participate! Be sure YOUR opinions are heard.
Students completing the survey are entered in weekly drawings for $100 gift cards. Five gift cards will be awarded...one each week.
