If you use an RC Name on campus, please remember that students who are foreign nationals are required to carry and use their passport and current I-94 for identification as well as evidence of valid immigration sponsorship such as valid Form I-20 or DS-2019, I-797, admission and visa stamps.
Students, faculty and staff who are U.S. Permanent Residents are required to carry their U.S. Permanent Resident card.
Hundreds of people already use an RC Name on campus and are comfortable freely sharing that name with everyone. When using an RC Name to express gender identity, it is important to note that once that name is given to the College, it may appear in internal and external communications, including documentation sent home if you are a student. It is not possible for the RC Name to only be shared with certain professors or to only one parent but not another. It is important to be comfortable with the name given in all aspects of personal and professional life. Do not give the College an RC Name if this is not the case.
