Doc Ray Fowler

Copenhaver Scholar in Residence in Cannabis Studies Cannabis Breeder and Cultivator with five decades of working knowledge and hands on experience in the traditional medicinal cannabis industry, since 1972. Doc has been a chemovar breeder since 1984. He is the Founder and Breeder for Doc Ray Genetics and an original member of the Mendocino Green Mountain Boys. His passion has been as a holistic compassionate caregiver in Northern California, specifically in Mendocino and Humboldt counties, since 1997. Doc Ray is an accomplished businessman who has worked hard to bring his genetic work to the benefits of many. He has 5 patents for his work and brings a unique perspective to us as a medicinal herbalist and as an old Army Green Beret. We have Doc this year to help shape the newly formed Cannabis Studies program here at Roanoke and we are in the best hands for this job.
