Athletic Events and Camps

The Alumni Fields and EC Fields provide expansive outdoor space for athletic competitions, tournaments, camps, clinics and recreational programming. With multiple fields available and scenic views of the Roanoke Valley, these facilities offer a flexible setting for soccer, lacrosse and a variety of field sports and outdoor events.

The Alumni Gym Pool is available for training sessions and aquatic programming. Use of the facility requires a Red Cross-certified lifeguard approved and hired through Roanoke College. Pool rentals are subject to lifeguard availability and scheduling.

Bast Gym is a versatile athletic facility well suited for practices, camps, clinics, tournaments and recreational events. Featuring a full gymnasium with court space and spectator seating, the venue can accommodate a variety of indoor sports and athletic programming.

Home to Roanoke College basketball, volleyball and wrestling, Cregger Arena is a premier event venue featuring a spacious floor, modern technology and arena-style seating. Ideal for athletic competitions, commencement ceremonies, concerts, conferences and large-scale gatherings, the facility offers flexibility and amenities to accommodate a wide range of events.

Home to Roanoke College indoor track and field, Cregger Fieldhouse provides a versatile indoor space for athletic competitions, practices, camps, trade shows and community events. The expansive open layout and modern facilities support a variety of event configurations and activities.

Home to Roanoke College soccer, lacrosse and field hockey, Kerr Stadium features a synthetic turf field, stadium seating and a scenic campus setting. The venue is ideal for sporting events, tournaments, camps, clinics and other outdoor programs requiring a professional competition environment.

Roanoke College's outdoor tennis courts provide a well-maintained setting for tournaments, matches, camps and recreational play. With multiple courts available, the facility is well suited for both competitive and instructional tennis events.

It would be difficult to find a better view in all of Salem than the view from Sutton Terrace, an expansive brick patio that overlooks the college athletic fields and is ringed by mountain views. The terrace is outfitted with patio furniture and large umbrellas, and it is an A+ spot for mingling, dancing or roasting marshmallows under the stars. 

Pickle Lounge is one of the larger meeting spaces inside the Colket Student Center, and it is where the college Board of Trustees chooses to meet several times a year. Tucked in a corner of the ground floor yet just across the atrium from the Commons dining room, Pickle offers privacy, convenience and full A/V functionality. 

The athletic patio serves as a great spot to watch the game from the Adirondack chairs with your catered meal. 

The Maroon Athletic Quad offers a versatile outdoor setting with mountain views for receptions, festivals, ceremonies, and large gatherings in the heart of campus.

Enjoy the outdoors on the Cregger Rear Patio, a great spot for a casual social events or to enjoy game-day gatherings, the patio creates a comfortable outside and scenic setting for guests to gather, dine, and enjoy the occasion.

One of the newest gems in Roanoke's event-hosting crown, the Cregger Center Atrium is a large, modern space framed by a wall of glass doors on one side and large television screens on the other. Located on the ground level, this space is easily accessible and features quick access to the gymnasium and elevators, as well as a concession stand.

Classroom by day, owner's box by night. This area can be transformed to host a buffet dinner or game snacks with a view of the court below.
