Roanoke College welcomes applications from students from other countries. We have a diverse international student body, typically representing over 40 countries each year.
To apply as a degree-seeking student, please follow the instructions in the admissions information for international students. There is an online application and you can find information about financial aid and how to acquire the F-1 student visa. For more details, please contact Elise Bennett.
Roanoke College also partners with several institutions to welcome exchange students:
Non-degree exchange students study at Roanoke for one semester or one year. To apply as a non-degree exchange student, you must be a student from one of our partner institutions and you must be nominated by your institution. Do not apply directly through the admissions office using the online form; instead send in the following application materials directly to Dr. Michael Hancock-Parmer at mhancock@roanoke.edu.
1. Exchange Student Application Form.
2. Current University Transcript
3. Demonstration of English Proficiency (if the primary language of instruction at your home institution is not in English). This could be a CEFR, TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, Pearson’s English Test, or Cambridge Exams.
