Teresa Gereaux, gereaux@roanoke.edu false MM/DD/YYYYDr. Anthony LaMantia is the director of the Center for Neurobiology at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute, a professor at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and a professor in Virginia Tech's Department of Biological Sciences. His lab's research explores the biological rules that guide how the human brain is built — and how breaking those rules can result in disorders like autism and schizophrenia.
Dr. LaMantia is the keynote speaker for the 2026 Hylton Lecture, an annual event that offers community members an opportunity to hear from investigators at the forefront of medical research.
