Everyone is invited to join us as we gather for a final Farewell to Massengill and ceremonial Groundbreaking for the new Science Center.

2:30 - 3:30 pm – NOKEHour: It's All About Science! Massengill Auditorium Kick back in Massengill Auditorium for an hour of storytelling by four Maroons with a special tie to science. The event is hosted by senior Olivia Aaron, an environmental studies honor student!

Stories will be shared by:

  • Rachel Collins, PhD – a field biologist and one of our amazing faculty in the biology department
  • Dessa Gypalo ’07 – the Chief Data Officer for the state of Illinois
  • Jared Herr, MD ’04 – a heart transplant cardiologist coming all the way from California
  • Roland Minton, PhD – our Stat Crew extraordinaire who is retiring after 38 years as math department faculty

3:30-4:00 pm – Reception hosted by Center for Health Careers Reminisce about days of Massengill, learn what's happening with our Center for Health Careers and enjoy refreshments on Massengill Plaza.

4:00 pm – Farewell to Massengill and Science Center Groundbreaking Ceremony The ceremony will occur on Massengill Plaza with representatives of the college and our community who will share reflection and celebrate the groundbreaking of the new Science Center. Rain location will be inside Massengill Auditorium
