Investiture Ceremony

The Roanoke College community and surrounding community are cordially invited to a momentous occasion: the installation of President Frank Shushok Jr.

Inaugurations are rare and special events at Roanoke: In its 181-year lifespan, the College has had only 12 presidents! This occasion will be an opportunity to officially welcome President Shushok, celebrate the positive impact of our institution over the years, and set our collective sites on a future of excellence as we step into an exciting new chapter.

At President Shushok's investiture, we will lift up the tenets of his leadership: to foster student success and well-being; cultivate academic innovation and transformative learning experiences; promote a culture of administrative, financial and operational excellence; advance access, diversity, inclusion and belonging; and elevate the distinctiveness of our beloved institution.

In addition, the College will use this joyous occasion to unite Maroons around the world; bring together the leaders in our community; and ignite pride in our students, alumni, faculty and staff. 

Inauguration Day will be packed with festivities to mark this important and historical moment for the College.
