Telephone and Voicemail

How do I Access my Voicemail:

  • On your phone, find the "Message" button and press it.
  • Enter your current Passcode and press "#". (If you forgot your Passcode, contact the Roanoke Helpdesk)
  • Now, press "1"

How do I Access my Voicemail from someone else's phone on campus:

  • On a phone, find the "Message" button and press it.
  • Press "*" and enter your extension number followed by a "#"
  • Enter your current Passcode and press "#". (If you forgot your Passcode, contact the Roanoke Helpdesk)
  • Now, press "1"

How do I change my No-Answer Greeting:

  • On your phone, find the "Message" button and press it.
  • Enter your current Passcode and press "#". (If you forgot your Passcode, contact the Roanoke Helpdesk)
  • Now, press "1" then "3".
  • Lastly, press "1" to record a greeting or "2" to hear what the greeting currently is set to. If you would like to restore the voicemail greeting to the default, press "3".

How do I get my Name on my Greeting:

  • On your phone, find the "Message" button and press it.
  • Enter your current Passcode and press "#". (If you forgot your Passcode, contact the Roanoke Helpdesk)
  • Now, press "3" then "1"
  • Lastly, press "1" to record a greeting or "2" to hear what the greeting currently is set to.

How do I change my Passcode (PIN):

  • On your phone, find the "Message" button and press it.
  • Enter your current Passcode and press "#". (If you forgot your Passcode, contact the Roanoke Helpdesk)
  • Note: The default pin is "0807"
  • Press "8" (Change Passcode)
  • Enter a new Passcode and press "#".
  • Enter the same new Passcode and press "#" again.

How do I setup Call Forwarding:

  • Select the "Menu" button
  • Select "Features"
  • Select "Call Control"
  • Select "Call Forward"
  • Select which extension you want to setup Call Forwarding for.
  • Select "Always Forward"
  • Change "Always Forward" to "Enabled"
  • Enter the number you wish to forward to in "Forward to
  • Select "Save"

How do I transfer a call:

  • While you are on call with someone, look at the phone and find a button labeled "Transfer"
  • Press "Transfer" and enter the extension or number that you want your caller to transfer to
  • After first ring press "Transfer" again, then hang up
