Switchboard
The switchboard operator will assist callers in reaching any member of the college community. Please do not call the switchboard with technical questions relating to computers or reports of malfunctions. These types of questions or concerns should be directed to the Information Technology Helpdesk at extension 2225 between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. You may also email helpdesk@roanoke.edu.
First Time Setup for Faculty or Staff
On your VoIP phone, press the messages button
You will be asked to put in your password, the default is 1024
The voicemail box will welcome you. Please listen to the entire tutorial
First, you must put your name on
Secondly, a greeting
Thirdly, a new password
Please listen until the tutorial is finished
Transferring a Call
While the caller is on the line press your transfer button on your LCD screen
When a dial tone is heard enter the extension (if you want to transfer to someone's cell phone, press 9 + 1 + area code + the phone number)
After the first ring, press the transfer button on the LCD screen again
