Annual Online Prevention Training
Roanoke College is committed to fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive campus community. To support this commitment, all returning undergraduate and graduate students are required to complete annual online prevention training through Vector LMS.
These trainings provide students with important information about campus resources, community expectations, healthy decision-making, and strategies for supporting others.
Required Courses

Deadline:
All required training must be completed before registering for Spring semester classes.
Students who begin their time at Roanoke in the spring will need to complete training before Fall registration.
How Do I Access the Training?
Log in to the Vector LMS training platform using your Roanoke College username.
Select a course title to begin.
Complete all sections of each assigned course.
Technical Requirements
- Training must be completed on a computer.
- Mobile phones and tablets are not recommended and may not function properly.
- Audio is required for portions of the courses; please ensure your speakers are enabled.

Who must complete the training?
All undergraduate students and graduate students enrolled at Roanoke College are required to complete the assigned online prevention training each academic year.
Why am I required to complete this training?
Annual training helps students stay informed about evolving laws, campus resources, and community expectations related to alcohol use, sexual misconduct prevention, and bystander intervention. Completing these courses each year reinforces key information and ensures that all students have access to the most current guidance and support.
What happens if I do not complete the training?
Students who do not complete the required training will not be able to register for Spring Semester Courses. Students who start at Roanoke College in the Spring Semester cannot register for Fall Semester courses if their training is incomplete.
How long will the training take?
Completion times vary by course and individual pace. Most students can complete the training in approximately 1 to 2 hours.
Can I save my progress and return later?
Yes. Your progress is automatically saved, allowing you to complete the courses in multiple sessions.
Why do I have to take the training every year?
Annual training ensures that students receive up-to-date information on campus policies, available resources, legal requirements, and best practices for maintaining a safe and respectful campus environment.
