Model UN
Roanoke College participates in the United Nation’s Model UN program. The program offers students a dynamic opportunity to engage with global issues through experiential learning. Participants take on the roles of diplomats and policy makers, representing countries in simulated UN sessions where they debate, negotiate, and collaborate on solutions to international challenges.
This hands-on experience deepens students’ understanding of diplomacy, international law, and global governance while sharpening their skills in public speaking, research, and negotiation. Whether preparing for conferences or participating in campus events, students in Model UN gain practical insights into the workings of international relations and emerge better equipped for careers in global affairs.
