R House
Building stronger communities together
Roanoke College has partnered with Habitat for Humanity in the Roanoke Valley for over 30 years, sending volunteers to help build new homes for families in the area. In 2005, we expanded that relationship with R House, making service and community an integral part of our freshman orientation experience. The program gives incoming students the opportunity to help create a tangible change in their new community and introduces them to the active citizenship that we strive for here at Roanoke.
