PLACE Update – February 2026
February 18, 2026
As part of our commitment to supporting career readiness and lifelong success, we’re excited to share recent updates from Roanoke College’s PLACE, the Center for Purpose, Life, and Career Exploration. We will regularly provide highlights from the bi-weekly PLACE Post emails, giving you a glimpse into the resources, events, and opportunities available to students on their career journeys.
At PLACE, the spring semester began with Launch Lab, an annual program for seniors who returned to campus for two days of career-intensive workshops and networking opportunities with local alumni and business leaders. The students who participated in Launch Lab started the semester with the tools and resources to continue their job or graduate school search, setting them up for a successful launch after graduation. PLACE has continued to lead hands-on workshops and programs to engage students on career topics, such as LinkedIn optimization, interviewing skills and personal branding, among others.
Upcoming at PLACE, we look forward to more workshops and networking opportunities to connect students and alumni. From partner programs to upcoming career and graduate school fairs, the semester continues with ongoing efforts to reinforce our community’s dedication to fostering career growth and purpose-driven exploration.
