Since 1993, the history department has annually celebrated the first president of Roanoke College, David F. Bittle, with a Founder’s Day celebration on or around his birthday on November 19^th.

Madison Kantor '19 and Gabriel Umland '19 received the award from Delta Mu Delta, an international honor society for students with concentrations in business administration.

On Oct. 26, Roanoke College announced the record breaking conclusion of its Roanoke Rising Campaign. The campaign, publicly launched in April 2013 with a goal of $200 million, concluded having raised a total of $204,047,431.

This year marks Roanoke College's 32nd year of providing life-changing experiences in the nation's capital through the Lutheran College Washington Semester program. Thirteen students are participating in the program this fall.

Those gathered represented six decades of Roanoke College lacrosse and included four All-American and Roanoke College Athletic Hall of Fame players.

"In the three weeks we had in Seoul, South Korea, we learned more about North Koreans, Korean society, media representations, inter-culture marriage, and education of refugees than we initially hoped."

Roanoke College is the anchor institution for the project, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
