Dr. Valerie Banschbach uses the momentum behind the "Thinking Animals" course as inspiration for a chapter in the American Educational Research Association's book.

Dr. Alice Kassens, the John S. Shannon Professor of Economics, has been appointed by Governor Ralph Northam to the Joint Advisory Board of Economists for the second consecutive term.

Roanoke College graduates were celebrated in a big way this year-by NBC's Nightly News with Lester Holt and Today shows.

The Roanoke College Summer Academy (RCSA) is a four-week program (July 2 - 28) for college credit. RCSA is for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in having an immersive college experience and being academically challenged while earning college credit.

Since 1985, the honors have showcased the quality and diversity of arts and culture in the Roanoke region.

The Virginia Real Estate Indexes are mixed. The index for current real estate conditions fell slightly, driven primarily by the buyers' side of the market who face increasing challenges. Home prices are above historical average in all metro areas across Virginia.  

Maurice Ferguson '77 began publishing poems while in college. With the help of several  from RC and the Roanoke Valley arts community, one of his poems was turned into a mockingbird mural in Roanoke's Wasena area.
