The Roanoke College Baseball team captured the attention of the entire RC Community and baseball world with a run to the 2017 NCAA Division III World Series in Appleton, Wisconsin. 

Sentiments concerning the Virginia real estate market remain strong. The Virginia Current Conditions Index hit a second consecutive record value for the most recent quarter. Sellers of real estate are more optimistic than in the past four years. Real estate prices took a sharp turn up as inventories remained flat.

For several weeks in May, some Roanoke students are hiking, swimming at Cape Hatteras, learning how to win roulette, camping at a music festival and more.

The Roanoke College Baseball team has taken the Maroon Nation on a wild ride in the past few weeks, resulting in the Maroons' first trip to the Division III College World Series. Roanoke is one of eight contenders for the title, and the first four games are Friday, May 26.

The Commonwealth remains divided and consumer sentiment continues to slide from a record high in August 2016. 

Marion College's Alumni Association held a special reunion to mark the 50 year anniversary since the college closed in 1967. Located in Marion, Virginia, the college was founded in 1873. In 1967, the college closed and the last graduating class crossed the stage.

The Whitlam Institute, within Western Sydney University, recently announced that Dr. Edward Nik-Khah is a Whitlam Institute Fellow. 

The new Eco House community, located on the first floor of Crawford Hall, will house students who are passionate about the environment and want to learn more about environmental sustainability. 

Roanoke awarded degrees to 441 graduates on May 6 during the College's Commencement ceremony, held on the John Turbyfill Quad on a chilly, windy day.
