Bowman Hall, set for demolition in June, was built on land given to the college by Alpheus Boeman Jr., a 1906 graduate and a longtime member of Roanoke's Board of Trustees. 

"You have to have a dream and kind of go for it at times," said Joe Boucher '87, producer for "The Simpsons" and "King of the Hill" television series, to Roanoke students during Alumni Weekend 2014. 

Each fall and spring, Elderscholar participants come to campus to hear weekly lectures given by members of Roanoke's faculty. 

Co-valedictorian, Jennifer Blaney, and Commencement speaker, Warner Dalhouse '56, expressed concerns about an unequal pay scale nationally for women, compared with their male counterparts.

Roanoke students traveled to 12 countries for the College's May Term. 

Bowman Hall will be demolished in June. Other contruction includes underground utility work, grading for new parking and changes at Kerr Stadium. 

It was a beautiful day of more than 450 Roanoke graduates to receive diplomas during Roanoke's commencement ceremony on the Turbyfill Quadrangle.
