From building a house on campus to exploring downtown Roanoke, new Roanoke College students will settle into college life in unique ways this year.

 

Several new staffers have joined Roanoke College in the past few months.

Roanoke College is one of a host of private colleges in Virginia that will offer incentives to prospective students who visit campus July 27 through Aug. 1.

Forty-two colleges and universities across the country were selected to participate.

Cregger Center isn't the only construction project on campus. Five renovation projects, funded by multiple gifts from alumni, friends and foundations, get underway this summer.

A historic College dwelling is poised for restoration and rebirth.

The well, which is now dry, has some impressive stats for one that was dug by hand. It is 4 feet in diameter and 33.5 feet deep. Watch the video as a camera is dropped down into the well. 

Tyler Quigley '15, along with several other students, founded the College's first Beekeeping Society. Recently the group installed a beehive on campus, where they hope to harvest honey.
