This is a two-year program designed for your junior and senior years. The scholarship will be awarded both years of the program.
What are the requirements?
TMEIC Scholars is open to engineering science majors who are interested in working in the region after graduation. Students should be rising juniors when entering the program. Internships take place the summer before your junior year and before your senior year.
To apply, you must be an active part of an engineering club, either on campus or off campus, and have completed three semesters toward your engineering science degree with a 3.2 GPA overall and a 3.0 GPA minimum in engineering courses.
Two rising juniors are accepted into the program each year. Scholars will take electives selected by TMEIC in partnership with the engineering science program. Those courses will fulfill the general elective requirements for your junior and senior years.
How do I apply?
Students should apply during the spring semester of their sophomore year. The process includes completing an application and evaluation with TMEIC's human resources office. More information is available from Associate Professor Bryan Cobb.
