What has Scotland meant to Scottish artists throughout the country’s history? Students will begin their Scottish adventure in Edinburgh before departing for the more distant corners of the country, including visit by boat to the Orkney islands and a trainride through the Scottish highlands. Students will explore the places and peoples that Scots have written about and depicted over the centuries in search of a distinctly Scottish identity.
