Roanoke student-athletes excel in classroom in latest honor roll report

Nearly 400 student-athletes finished last semester on the athletic honor roll, and one in six of that cohort had a perfect 4.0.

Of Roanoke College's 25 sports, 20 teams collectively earned a GPA of 3.0 or higher and eight reached a GPA of 3.5, Athletics announced. 

Women's basketball led the way with a 3.72 GPA among the team. Women's soccer and cycling rounded out the top three with 3.68 and 3.66 GPAs, respectively. 

In men's sports, cross country topped the list at a 3.63 GPA, with soccer and basketball finishing the top three with a 3.56 GPA and 3.38 GPA. 

Individually, 397 student-athletes made the athletic honor roll by earning a 3.0 or higher for the spring semester. Sixty-eight student-athletes had a 4.0 for the term.
