Students in Roanoke College’s 2025-26 Master of Business Administration cohort produced extraordinary results on the ETS Major Field Test (MFT), outperforming national benchmarks by a wide margin and placing in the top percentile for finance.
“They blew the MFT out of the water this year,” said Alice Kassens, dean of the School of Business, Economics, and Finance at Roanoke. “We are beyond proud of them. Not only does their performance speak to their learning and ability, but also the excellent education our faculty provides in our MBA program.”
Among MBA programs that gave the MFT, the national institutional average was 246.2 out of a maximum of 300. Roanoke’s cohort achieved an institutional mean score of 261, placing these students in the 97th percentile.
For finance, students scored at the 100th percentile, meaning that no institution scored higher than Roanoke in that section. Students stood out across the board, reaching the 96th percentile in marketing, the 94th percentile in strategic integration and the 91st percentile in management.
Roanoke launched its 4+1 accelerated MBA program in 2023 and added a fully online, two-year MBA in 2026. This achievement by the 2025-26 cohort reflects the strength of Roanoke’s program, faculty and students.
“We just moved into our fourth cohort and are really hitting our stride in building our reputation, and I am excited to see how the program continues to evolve,” Kassens said.
