Roanoke College has once again been featured in The Princeton Review's list of the best colleges in the United States, placing it in the top 14% of colleges and universities nationwide.
Along with its inclusion on the overall list of best colleges, Roanoke was named a Great School for Business/Finance Majors and a Great School for Psychology Majors. Roanoke has appeared on these lists each year consecutively since 2014 and 2015, respectively.
Additionally, Roanoke was ranked 15th in the nation for Best Athletic Facilities. Campus facilities include the first-class Cregger Center, which offers an arena, indoor track and fitness center, as well as the Athletic Performance Center, an 8,500-square-foot strength and conditioning facility that serves every student-athlete on campus.
In the guide, The Princeton Review highlights Roanoke’s beautiful location, stellar faculty and tight-knit campus community. One student surveyed for the project reflected that Roanoke does “an amazing job of emphasizing the ‘family’ aspect of what it means to be a Maroon.”
Each year, The Princeton Review compiles the best colleges guide to showcase institutions that the agency recommends for top-tier undergraduate academics. The Princeton Review chose the 392 colleges for the book based on its surveys in 2025-2026 of 2,000 college administrators about their school's academic offerings. The company also surveyed students attending the colleges listed in the book, and those students rated their schools on dozens of topics and reported their campus experiences.
The Princeton Review has published its list of the best colleges annually since 1992, and Roanoke College has been included on that list each year since the 2012 edition.
