From Thailand to England, students traveled to 10 different countries during May Term.

Of the 327 student chapters for the Society of Human Resources Management across the U.S., Roanoke was one of 149 Superior Merit Award winners. 

As part of the Roanoke College Innovation Challenge, 15 students are tasked with building a business plan for three entrepreneurs. Plans must be extensive and include everything from structure and marketing to finance, accounting and strategic planning.

For several weeks in May, some Roanoke students are hiking, swimming at Cape Hatteras, learning how to win roulette, camping at a music festival and more.

The Roanoke College Baseball team has taken the Maroon Nation on a wild ride in the past few weeks, resulting in the Maroons' first trip to the Division III College World Series. Roanoke is one of eight contenders for the title, and the first four games are Friday, May 26.

Roanoke awarded degrees to 441 graduates on May 6 during the College's Commencement ceremony, held on the John Turbyfill Quad on a chilly, windy day. 

Salem, Va. - Bishop James Mauney, the retiring bishop of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will be the featured speaker at Commencement on Saturday, May 6. Approximately 441 graduates will be among the Class of 2017. Commencement will be streamed live, and the link can be found at roanoke.edu/commencement. 

Roanoke College ceramics students worked this semester to create pieces to showcase in the College's annual Art Majors Show, which ends on May 5.
