The Roanoke College Baseball team has taken the Maroon Nation on a wild ride in the past few weeks, resulting in the Maroons' first trip to the Division III College World Series. Roanoke is one of eight contenders for the title, and the first four games are Friday, May 26.

Salem, Va. - Bishop James Mauney, the retiring bishop of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will be the featured speaker at Commencement on Saturday, May 6. Approximately 441 graduates will be among the Class of 2017. Commencement will be streamed live, and the link can be found at roanoke.edu/commencement.

Wicander earns Fulbright ETA to Spain

Students form debate society named for Roanoke alumnus

The Fishwick Literary and Debate Society is named for John P. Fishwick, a 1937 Roanoke graduate who served in the U.S. Navy and graduated from Harvard Law School. Mr. Fishwick endowed a professorship in the English department, which is held by Dr. Robert Schultz, the John P. Fishwick Professor of English.
