The class of 2017 has nine seniors joining the Student Affairs Media Arts Hall of Fame in recognition for their creative contributions to the college. The students' names will be featured on the Garrett Student Media Lounge Wall of Fame.

Salem, Va. - Bishop James Mauney, the retiring bishop of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, will be the featured speaker at Commencement on Saturday, May 6. The updated center, now in the Bast Center, was dedicated to McMillan "Mac" and Marcy Johnson. Mac Johnson ‘70, retired vice president and dean of students, created and led the College's Outdoor Adventures program for many years.
