Bryan Ryberg was recently named to the prestigious Thrivent Fellows Program, a rigorous 12-month executive fellowship to develop the leadership capacity of the colleges and universities of the Lutheran Church. Ryberg is the Associate Dean for Student Success Initiatives.

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has cut more than half of Democrat Hillary Clinton's lead in a month, but still trails by 7 percent among likely voters in Virginia. Libertarian Gary Johnson remained steady with 8 percent. Green Party candidate Jill Stein dropped to 1 percent, while 9 percent of voters surveyed remain undecided.

The Virginia Real Estate Index -- Inventories fall and prices rise across the Commonwealth. Central and Northern Virginia and the Tidewater show particular strength, which is driven by sellers' anticipation of higher prices.
