From The Roanoke Times: Dr. Gregory Rosenthal's public history class spent the fall semester digitally preserving civil rights era newspaper clippings collected by Hill Street Baptist Church.

Toy Like Me moved into its second year in a big way. Led by Dr. Frances Bosch, the group delivered toys to students at Roanoke County's Oak Grove Elementary and Mount Pleasant Elementary Schools.

For 31 years, Roanoke College students have gained real-world experiences in the nation's capital through what is now known as the Lutheran College Washington Semester Program. 

On Monday, Nov. 13, students, faculty and staff gathered, along with many local alumni and friends, in Kerr Stadium to create a giant 175 photo opp. Wearing their Maroon gear, they stood in the prepainted "175" formation on the field. A drone was flown overhead to capture a bird's eye view of the field.

Students and staff from the Roanoke community are taking action to aide those affected by the recent devastating hurricanes.

The Roanoke College Choir, under the direction Dr. Jeffrey R. Sandborg, presents The Mighty Fortress: Luther in Music tour. The tour includes performances at several churches of the Virginia Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. 

A professor and student join forces to pen a book about an unsung hero in the battle to abolish capital punishment.

A revised ramp, sidewalk and patio area, and door at the back of the Life Science building and a mailroom intercom/video system were installed in the past few months. 

The beer, made by Soaring Ridge Craft Brewers, was unveiled during April's Alumni Weekend.
