Campus Jobs

Roanoke provides more than 500 employment opportunities for students on campus, with positions available in nearly every area on campus ranging from office assistants to grounds crew and cafeteria staff.

Some of these positions qualify for internships, such as work in the accounting, computer service and public relations departments. Campus employment has a number of benefits: It can help defray a portion of your college costs; it can give you an opportunity for firsthand career experience; and it looks great on your resume, as employers see campus employment as a sign of a strong work ethic.

Not all positions go to students with financial need. Some are filled by students with a strong academic or career interest in the work of the department they serve.

A student sits at a desk in the Chaplain's Office and talks to another student.

Current students can log into Handshake, the college's job posting software, to find openings on campus.

"Supervisors trusted me to have responsibility for certain things and that has allowed me to practice professionalism that I have been able to pull from in professional interviews."
