Meet with the candidate in-person or via Zoom. At this point, a CV and unofficial transcripts will be useful. Candidates must have at least 18 graduate hours in the area to to taught, a Masters in the area or a closely related area, or significant work experience. You may wish to send the CV and unofficial transcripts to the Assistant Vice President for Academic Operations for preliminary review to determine SACS credentialling.
Inform candidate that if hired, proof of identity and authorization to work in the US will be required on their first day of employment. Instructors will also be required to attend a 1.5 hour orientation session prior to the beginning of their first semester teaching at the College.
When you have decided on whom you wish to hire, you can make a verbal offer. As of Fall 2021, adjunct pay is $3400 per TCU.
Ask the candidate to have official undergraduate and graduate transcripts sent directly to the Assistant Vice President for Academic Operations. Either print or electronic are fine, but they must come directly from the institution of higher education, not the candidate.

Candidates will receive information to complete a background check.
Once credentials are approved and the background check clears, the contract will be issued.
Instructor name will be added to Colleague on/near August 1 or December 1. At that time the instructor's name will appear on the COL and Inquire sites will be available to them.
