Community Leaders
Community Leaders (CLs) are highly trained students who live within the residence halls who promote wellbeing and belonging among residents at Roanoke College. Their goal is to create a supportive community among the students who live on campus by providing resources, planning and implementing social programs, and by maintaining a safe environment through enforcing Residence Life & Housing policies. CLs serve as a first point of contact, as they are on-call after business hours for residents seeking information and act as mediators for residential conflicts. Senior Community Leaders (SCLs) serve these purposes, and also coordinate with ResLife Professional staff to supervise and serve as mentors to CLs. Greek Community Leaders (GCLs) hold the same responsibilities as CLs but work within Greek Life communities.
