Information for New Students
Welcome to Roanoke College Residence Life & Housing!
We’re here to make the residence halls a fun and meaningful part of your college life. Living on campus is a big part of the Maroon experience. As a residential student, you’ll have opportunities to connect with new people and grow both socially and personally through the shared experiences created by living and learning together. New Students need to pay close attention to their emails for details approaching their Housing Selection which typically occurs in early July.
Steps for Selecting Housing:
- Sign the Housing Agreement in the housing portal. (You'll need your student ID# to complete this step.)
- Complete your housing profile. Are you a morning person? Do you stay up late studying? Do you like things neat and organized? This will help potential roommates learn more about you. You can also message other students through the portal. If you find a roommate match, you can create a group so that you can pick a space together!
- Check your email! You will receive a time slot to participate in the Housing Portal in early July (A time slot is based on the order in which the deposit was received.) When the portal opens you will select your residence hall.
