This year's awards honored artist Whitney Brock and community leader Dr. Nathaniel L. Bishop.

The grant-funded residency brought three accomplished artisans from Wonju, Korea, to campus for two weeks.

Roanoke was listed in the 2025 edition of the Princeton Review’s “The Best 390 Colleges,” receiving special recognition for its athletic facilities, town/gown relations, psychology program and business/finance program. 

The funding will help the college build partnerships with STEM-H innovators and strengthen the skilled workforce pipeline.

Roanoke College is launching its membership in College Presidents for Civic Preparedness during its campus celebration of Constitution Week. 

Associate Professor Lisa Stoneman will serve as executive director for curricular innovation and digital learning under the Roanoke College-Roanoke Valley (RC-RV) program.  

The incoming class hails from 31 states and 13 countries.

Through the plan, Roanoke College is setting its sights on six key imperatives that are accompanied by clear, action-orientated recommendations for progress.

 In her new role, Dani Moore will support Roanoke students and develop programs to ensure their success.

Nominations for the award, which recognizes outstanding citizens of Salem, are due by Monday, Sept. 23.
