The School of Education, Government, and Society prepares undergraduate and graduate students to address complex social issues through interdisciplinary study in education, government, public policy, and societal development. By combining theoretical frameworks with experiential learning, students develop critical thinking, ethical reasoning, civic engagement, and leadership skills needed for careers in education, law, public service, policy, nonprofit work, and advanced academic study.

Along with its academic programs, the School of Education, Government, and Society houses specialized initiatives and centers that enhance the educational experience. The Turk Pre-Law Program and Mock Trial provide aspiring legal professionals with hands-on learning opportunities, while the Copenhaver Institute supports innovative practices for student teachers and teaching professionals. The Model UN program immerses students in global diplomacy and international relations, allowing them to develop negotiation, public speaking, and critical thinking skills by simulating the roles of UN delegates. The Center for Policy, Ethics, and Law serve as a platform for experiential learning and dialogue on pressing ethical, legal, and policy issues. Together, these programs and centers create a vibrant community dedicated to academic excellence and societal advancement.
